WHO? Community Blood Services
WHEN? between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. this Friday, October 30th, 2009
WHERE? at The Forest of Fear halloween attraction, located across the street from The New York Renaissance Faire grounds at 600 Rt. 17A, Tuxedo Park, NY.
WHAT? Give blood and receive one free admission to The Forest of Fear's Slaughterhouse, The Slaughterhouse Sideshow and a free souvenir.
WHAT else? Whole blood donors must be 17-75 years old (16 years old with parental consent) and weigh at least 110 pounds.
WHY? "One blood donation can save up to three lives," Cascino [Community Blood Services] said, noting there currently is less than a two-day supply of blood on Community Blood Services' shelves. "All types are needed," she said, "especially O negative, A negative and B negative."
HOW do I sign up? To schedule your appointment to donate blood at The Forest of Fear event, call 201-251-3703. Walk-ins are also welcome.
HOW do I get my free ticket? You will receive your free admission pass at the time of your blood donation.

The Forest of Fear is open rain or shine, now thru October 31st, 2009 on Fridays, nightfall until 12 a.m.; Saturdays, nightfall until 1 a.m.; and Sundays, nightfall until 11 p.m. General admission is $20.

Community Blood Services also will be selling raffle tickets for the chance to win a 2010 FXDWG Dyna Glide Harley Davidson Motorcycle, which will be on display at The Forest of Fear attraction, October 30th. Cost per raffle ticket is $20 each but donors who purchase one raffle ticket will receive a second raffle ticket free.
Community Blood Services provides blood and blood products to more than 30 hospitals in New York City, New York and New Jersey.
Whole blood donors must be 17-75 years old (16 years old with parental consent) and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors also receive complimentary cholesterol, glucose, hemoglobin and blood pressure screenings.
